1. You are invited to participate in Farmworker Advocacy Day in a spirit of cooperation and respect. Your actions need to reflect the dignity of farmwork to the media and to people in Albany. The language and symbolism in your visual illustration must be respectful. This is a non-violent and peaceful gathering.
2. Participants under 18 must have a chaperone.
3. Participants must provide their own transportation.
4. Your visual illustration must be created before May 1. If you are creating a visual illustration then you must be able to assemble and dissemble it in Albany in under 15 minutes. You must bring the piece with you and remove it at the end of the action. It would also be more effective if the piece is movable.
5. All materials used must be non-toxic and safe.
6. You must provide any equipment (i.e. stereo equipment, speakers, tv/video equipment etc.) your group needs.
7. You are invited to participate in the entire day as your group is able.

MEDIA ATTENTION
Your contest entry should be created with the goal of getting media attention
in mind. Here are two simple guidelines for getting media attention.
1. Your entry should be bold, creative and colorful. It should be visually appealing and innovative. The more of these qualities it has the more media attention it will receive.
2. Your message and presentation should be very clear. Media is attracted to simple, bold statements.
