Ten Thousand Villages in Albany, NY, is a fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe. The Albany store is one of three Ten Thousand Villages stores in New York State, but the only one which is a member of the Fair Trade Federation.
Ten Thousand Villages is a nation-wide organization supported by the Mennonite Central Committee. They have spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items.
