Culmination of the 330 Mile
Justice for Farmworkers March
New York State Capitol, Albany

Farmworkers in NYS have few protections under labor law. Their march for equal rights from April 19 through April 30, 2003 ended with an inspiring rally. Of course, the true culmination of the journey will be celebrated when the Farmworker Fair Labor Practices Act becomes law.

The contingent that started in Harlem on April 20 met at the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue in Lincoln Park at 12:15 PM. Marchers that started in Seneca Falls on April 20 met for a prayer service at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church (Central and North Lake) and then began the final walk to the Capitol at 12 :15 PM.

The groups joined forces at Capitol Park at 1 PM where they were joined by supporters including Dolores Huerta, a co-founder with the late Cesar Chavez, of United farm Workers (UFW) in Delano, CA.

A fiesta at the All Saints Episcopal Cathedral (Swan St.) began at 3 PM.
