Special thanks to the New York State United Teachers union (NYSUT) for donating labor, office space, and mailing expenses to this vital work. We also owe a great debt of gratitude to The New York State Labor-Religion Coalition and to Interfaith Worker Justice for ongoing organizational and technical support.
Our Mission: The mission of the CNY Labor Religion Coalition is to mobilize the religious, labor and wider community to become effective advocates for justice in employment.
We believe that justice in employment is essential for the dignity of individuals, families and communities. The Coalition must work to promote justice and address the immorality of the ever-widening gap between the rich and poor. We believe that RELIGION, at its core, and LABOR at its best, seek the following for all people:
The right to work
The right to organize in the work place
The right to a living wage
The right to a safe and healthy workplace
The right to prepare for a secure and healthy future
