IMMIGRANT WORKERS FREEDOM RIDE in Albany, NY

On Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 4:30 p.m., please join us as we welcome three busses of immigrant workers and their community allies with a rally and free community dinner in Albany, NY.

Meet at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, (corner of Henry Johnson Blvd. and State Street in Washington Park). Dinner is at Trinity United Methodist Church (corner of Lancaster and Lark Streets). Please call 518/ 785-4672 to reserve a spot at the dinner.

GOAL: A NEW IMMIGRATION POLICY WITH 3 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. a "road to citizenship" for all immigrant workers in this country
2. the right of immigrant workers to re-unite their families
3. protecting the rights of immigrant workers in the workplace

THE LOCAL FREEDOM RIDE PLANNING GROUP will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 20 to debrief and discuss possible next steps at NYSUT headquarters, 800 Troy-Schenectady Rd. in Latham, convened by the Community Action Committee of the Capital District Area Labor Federation.
