Third Annual Sweatfree Schools Poster Contest, 2001-2002

The Sweatfree Schools Poster Contest is sponsored by the New York State Labor-Religion Coalition with underwriting from New York State United Teachers. The Coalition congratulates over 530 students whose posters were selected to represent their schools. We celebrate the learning each entry demonstrates in responding to the theme, "We can make a difference; say NO to child labor and sweatshops."

FIRST PLACE WINNERS each receive a $1000 US Savings Bond from New York State United Teachers

Grades 10-12—David Agbodji. Teacher: Marilyn Militscher, Christopher Columbus High School, NY, NY

Grades 7-9—Joseph Dedalto. Teacher: Kelly Manno, Monroe-Woodbury Middle School, Central Valley, NY

Grades 4-6—Syed Faraaz Salik. Teacher: Joanne Casella, Casmir Pulaski School, Yonkers, NY

Grades K-3—Jenna Theall. Teacher: Ms Gorsky, Gansevoort School, Rome, NY
